The Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) is a joint initiative established in 2009 by the European Commission, IFIs, and bilateral donors, providing financial and technical assistance for strategic infrastructure projects across the Western Balkans. Coordinated from Brussels, Belgium, it has mobilized over €20 billion in total investments across more than 200 projects in sectors including transport, energy, environment, and digital infrastructure.
