ABO Energy sells Polish and Hungarian renewable energy subsidiaries and 2 GW development pipeline to PPC
Type: Sale · Technology: Solar · Country: Poland, Hungary · Announced: 2026-08-10
ABO Energy agreed to sell its Polish and Hungarian renewable energy subsidiaries to Greek utility PPC, including a 2 GW development pipeline and five operational solar projects totaling 82 MW. The transaction also covers a 17 MW solar project nearing completion, along with all 38 employees in Poland and Hungary. ABO Energy has operated in both markets since 2019, developing and selling projects while building its pipeline. The sale follows ABO Energy's exit from Greece and Finland, as part of its strategy to focus on markets where it can achieve sustainable long-term success. Regulatory approvals are required, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The deal will not impact ABO Energy's planned restructuring and financing process, which the company aims to finalize in the coming months.
