Actis creates Yeltica Energy platform to develop 330 MW solar and 255 MWh storage in Mexico

Infrastructure investment firm Actis announced the creation of Yeltica Energy, a new renewable energy platform in Mexico, on September 17, 2026. The platform will develop three initial projects selected in the first mixed development scheme of the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), comprising approximately 330 MWp of photovoltaic capacity and 255 MWh of battery storage. The projects are backed by 25-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) denominated in U.S. dollars and adjusted for inflation. Yeltica is led by José Luis García, a former CEO of Zelestra for Latin America and executive at Zuma Energía, who previously participated in the development of over 800 MW of solar and wind projects in Mexico. Actis aims to expand the platform to a portfolio exceeding 2 GW of solar, wind, and storage.
