ADNOC, XRG, and Mitsui & Co. formalized a strategic collaboration agreement to expand cooperation across the energy value chain, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), crude oil, sulfur, shipping, and chemicals. The framework also includes exploration of international energy investments through XRG, with a focus on lower-carbon fuels and chemicals such as methanol and projects at TA'ZIZ. Japan is a cornerstone market for ADNOC, which supplies around a third of the country's crude imports, and Mitsui has been a longstanding partner since the 1970s. The agreement aims to enhance supply resilience, deliver greater value to customers, and unlock sustainable growth across Asia by combining complementary strengths. Mitsui & Co. emphasized its commitment to the UAE and the formalization of a broad-based framework for future collaboration with ADNOC and XRG.
