Advait Energy Transitions signs 1 GWh LFP cell supply agreement with Hithium

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Storage · Country: India · Announced: 2026-09-18

Advait Battery Ecosystem, an arm of Advait Energy Transitions Ltd, has entered into a master supply agreement with Hithium for the supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. Under the agreement, Advait will secure cell supply for its upcoming 2.5 GWh annual-capacity cell-to-container battery energy storage system (BESS) assembly facility. The agreement provides for the offtake of up to 1 GWh of cells over the next year, supporting a high-volume supply chain as Advait scales domestic BESS assembly for grid-scale and commercial and industrial energy storage applications across India. Hithium will supply its 314 Ah LFP prismatic cells to Advait, bringing a widely deployed cell platform used in global energy storage markets into the company's domestic manufacturing ecosystem. Advait is building capabilities across module and pack assembly, container integration and system commissioning, with its facility in Gangad, Gujarat scheduled to begin commercial production soon.
