Alight commissions 101 MWp Eurajoki solar park in Finland under long-term PPA with Autoliv
Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: Finland · Capacity: 101 MWp · Announced: 2026-09-03
Alight commissioned the 101 MWp Eurajoki solar park in Finland’s Satakunta region on Finland’s west coast, marking the company’s first operational project in the country. The facility, developed under a long-term virtual power purchase agreement with automotive safety supplier Autoliv, is expected to generate approximately 100 GWh of electricity annually—enough to power around 20,000 households. Construction was supported by €46 million in senior debt financing provided by ABN AMRO and SEB, with the project connecting to Finland’s grid via Caruna’s network using a shared substation. The solar park includes two sites operating as a single asset and includes biodiversity measures such as habitat restoration, wetland improvements, and the creation of a new pond. As of June 2026, the project represents roughly 12% of Finland’s total utility-scale solar capacity, according to Renewables Finland.
