Alpiq acquires Bollingstedt battery project from ECO STOR

Alpiq has acquired ECO POWER ONE, the project company that owns the operational Bollingstedt battery energy storage facility in Germany. ECO STOR will continue to provide technical and operational management services for the project, which has been operational since June 2025. ECO STOR and distribution network operator Schleswig-Holstein Netz developed one of Germany’s first Flexible Connection Agreements for a battery storage project at the site. Société Générale acted as financial adviser to ECO STOR, while CMS provided legal advice.
