Amazon Invests in 700 MW of New Carbon-Free Energy Projects in Nevada to Power Future Data Centers

Amazon has signed an agreement with renewable energy developer Primergy to add 600 MW of solar power to the Nevada power grid. This solar energy will be used to power Amazon's future data center operations in the area. The agreement also includes 600 MW of battery storage from Primergy, which will capture solar energy during peak production and dispatch it when demand is highest, enhancing grid capacity and supporting data center reliability.
