Type: Ppa · Technology: Nuclear · Country: United States · Capacity: 690 MW · Announced: 2026-10-01

Amazon signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Constellation Energy to purchase 690 MW of power from the Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant in Maryland. The deal includes a 190 MW uprate that will add capacity coming online between 2030 and 2032, increasing the plant's output above its current 1,790 MW nameplate. Constellation said the revenue certainty from the PPA will support relicensing Calvert Cliffs for an additional 20 years and enable more than $3 billion in Maryland infrastructure investment. The agreement also includes a related retail supply agreement to support Amazon operations across the PJM market covering 13 states plus the District of Columbia.
