Amazon signs PPA with Statkraft for Mossy Hill wind farm in Shetland

Amazon signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Statkraft for offtake of 36 MW from the Mossy Hill wind farm near Lerwick in the Shetland Islands on 2026-09-30. The Mossy Hill project is an onshore wind development in Shetland, Scotland, and is scheduled to become operational in 2030. The PPA adds to Amazon's portfolio of more than 50 carbon-free energy agreements across the UK, representing over 1 GW of power and including 41 solar projects on its logistics estates and multiple off-site wind and solar projects. Statkraft, which develops hydropower, solar and wind assets across Europe, said the agreement gives the company certainty to advance the Mossy Hill project in Shetland. The deal follows other UK PPAs by Amazon in 2026 such as a 90 MW PPA for the Chirmorie Wind Farm with Egg Power and arrangements with ERG, Iberdrola and Ocean Winds in the region.
