Ambienta acquires Bio Marine AS, Flatsetsund Engineering AS, Smir AS and P/F GroAqua Group to create a sustainable aquaculture platform

Ambienta SGR S.p.A. acquired Bio Marine AS, Flatsetsund Engineering AS, Smir AS and P/F GroAqua Group on 2026-10-01 to create a multi-asset sustainable aquaculture platform centered on the North Atlantic. The platform combines technologies across prevention, fish health, feeding, monitoring, oxygen management, non-chemical treatment, submerged systems and sludge treatment across the four businesses. Tjaldur, GroAqua's existing industrial owner, and senior leadership teams from the four companies will reinvest alongside Ambienta and retain key roles in the enlarged group. Ambienta intends the platform to accelerate adoption of technologies that reduce chemical treatments, feed loss and organic/nutrient pollution while enabling cross-selling and faster product development across the group. ABG Sundal Collier acted as exclusive financial adviser to Ambienta on the transactions involving Flatsetsund Engineering AS, Smir AS and P/F GroAqua Group.
