Antimatter signs €580 million contract with CloudGrid Energy for 280 PoliCloud units to develop AI infrastructure

The French company Antimatter, developer of the PoliCloud neocloud, signed a contract worth approximately €580 million with CloudGrid Energy for the acquisition and deployment of 280 PoliCloud units. This agreement aims to accelerate the development of sustainable and sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructures across Europe, with 16 sites already secured in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Sweden. The 280 units are expected to provide nearly 29,000 GPUs, 2 million vCPUs, and a total energy capacity of 35 MW. CloudGrid Energy specializes in deploying high-performance containerized data centers near large renewable energy infrastructures and EV charging hubs, converting kWh into CPU and GPU computing hours.
