Anza Power acquires 205 MW of construction-ready solar farms in New Zealand

US-headquartered energy developer Anza Power, backed by I Squared Capital, has acquired the 110 MW Karioi and 95 MW Ongaonga solar farms from Helios Energy. The construction-ready projects, located approximately 250 to 280 kilometres north of Wellington, are consented and include battery energy storage system (BESS) generation capacity. The combined portfolio is expected to produce approximately 411,400 MWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to the demand of 58,000 homes. Anza Power Chief Executive Officer Carlo Frigerio stated the deal adds 205 MW to the company's New Zealand pipeline.
