Applied Digital is investing $75 million to fund electrical substation and high-voltage powerline upgrades in eastern North Dakota to support its planned data center near Harwood. Minnkota Power Cooperative will own and operate the new facilities, which will benefit the regional grid and other customers. The project, called the Agassiz Transmission Line and Substation, includes a 345-kilovolt powerline and is expected to begin construction in April 2026, with completion targeted for September 2026.
