Ara Partners, a global private markets firm focused on decarbonizing the industrial economy, has acquired a majority stake in Bryden Wood, a strategy and integrated design consultancy based in London. The transaction solidifies a multi-year relationship between the two firms, with Bryden Wood having previously supported the design evolution and capital strategy for several Ara portfolio decarbonization projects, including Sedron, Divert, Utility Global, BioVeritas and GIDARA Energy. Bryden Wood brings inventive thinkers, designers, engineers and technical specialists into one team to solve complex design problems for some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world to change the way industrial process facilities are designed and delivered. Spanning industries such as pharmaceuticals, low-carbon industries and data centers, Bryden Wood uses reference designs, standardized systems and off-site manufacturing to move projects from strategy to delivery with greater speed and certainty. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
