Ardian acquires MEAG's minority interest in 460 MW Texas wind portfolio
Type: Acquisition · Technology: Onshore Wind · Country: United States · Capacity: 460 MW · Announced: 2026-08-19
MEAG has completed the sale of its minority interest in two operational Texas wind farms, Horse Creek and Electra, to Ardian, an existing shareholder in the assets. The acquisition gives Ardian full ownership of the portfolio, which has a combined installed capacity of 460 MW. Both wind farms have been operational since 2016 within the ERCOT electricity market, with MEAG managing its investment since 2017. This transaction allows Ardian to consolidate full ownership, providing the platform and flexibility to execute the next phase of its asset management plan. Holland & Knight acted as legal adviser to MEAG, while Santander served as financial adviser, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and McGuireWoods provided legal advice to Ardian.
