Ardian acquires two Texas wind farms, Horse Creek and Electra, from MEAG

Type: Acquisition · Technology: Onshore Wind · Country: United States · Capacity: 460 MW · Announced: 2026-08-19

Ardian has acquired the Horse Creek and Electra wind farms in Texas from MEAG, which sold the assets on behalf of German insurance provider Munich Re. Ardian, an existing long-term partner in the assets, acquired MEAG’s minority interest in the wind farms, concluding an investment MEAG has managed since 2017. The Horse Creek and Electra wind farms have a combined installed capacity of 460 megawatts and have been in operation since 2016. These assets contribute renewable-energy generation within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power market. Consolidating full ownership provides Ardian with the platform and flexibility to execute the next phase of its asset management plan.
