Aura Power and Verdant Energy combined to create a United Kingdom‑based independent power producer with roughly 1 GW of operational and under‑construction solar and battery storage assets. The merged entity will operate under the Aura Power brand and retain a development pipeline of about 10 GW across the UK and selected European sites. The transaction is backed by private‑equity firm CVC DIF, which will provide financial strength and strategic expertise to accelerate delivery of the solar‑BESS platform. The deal includes refinancing of existing junior facilities and funding for future pipeline projects. Legal and financial advisers such as CMS, Burges Salmon, Akereos Capital, PwC, DNV and TLT supported the merger, ensuring a smooth integration of the two portfolios.
