AWS and Northrop Grumman partner to deploy classified workloads on AWS Secret Cloud for Industry
Type: Partnership · Technology: Data Center · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-07-01
AWS and Northrop Grumman have entered a partnership to run classified workloads on the newly launched AWS Secret Cloud for Industry (ASCI). Northrop Grumman will deploy its initial classified workload in the AWS Secret-East Region, avoiding months of hardware procurement required for on‑premises solutions. The ASCI platform holds a Provisional Authorization at Impact Level 6 and uses the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency compliance framework. This collaboration gives the U.S. defense industrial base access to scalable cloud and AI services while maintaining secret‑classified security standards. The agreement was announced on 1 July 2026 and underscores AWS’s expanding portfolio of dedicated government cloud regions. No financial terms were disclosed.
