The Belledune Joint Venture partners (Pabineau First Nation, Eel River Bar First Nation, Arbec Forest Products and Airex Energy) secured NB Power's decision to convert the Belledune Generating Station to torrefied pellets and entered a long-term biomass supply agreement to deliver locally produced torrefied pellets from a new facility at the Port of Belledune (expected 150,000 tonnes/year) representing an approximately $100 million investment.
