BESS Perlen, a joint venture between Perlen Industrieholding and the Valyou Investment Foundation, has agreed to invest in a 10 MW / 20 MWh battery energy storage system. The system will be located at the Perlen Papier industrial site in Switzerland and is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2026. ADS-TEC Energy will supply the two-hour battery system, while wattss Group will oversee project development, technical integration, and market integration. The project will initially provide ancillary services before expanding into Switzerland’s day-ahead and intraday electricity markets, transforming the industrial site into a modern energy hub.
