Bimergen Energy has acquired eight distributed generation Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Texas, totaling 79.2MW of nameplate capacity. The projects were acquired from mobile energy solutions provider Aggreko and are located in the ERCOT South region. Bimergen financed the acquisition through a joint venture with BESS manufacturer RelyEZ, which will also supply the lithium-based utility-scale batteries for the projects. Five projects are expected to be operational by late 2026, with the remaining three by early 2027. These projects are intended to enhance grid stability, support renewable energy integration, and meet increasing power demand in ERCOT.
