Bitdeer signs 16‑year colocation lease with Volta Tydal in Norway

Bitdeer’s Tydal Data Center AS signed a 16‑year colocation lease with Volta subsidiary Volta Tydal AS to provide 121 MW of IT capacity (133 MW gross) at its former cryptomine campus in Tydal, Norway. The agreement, valued at approximately $4.7 billion in contracted revenue, will be delivered in two phases, with Phase I slated for December 2026 and Phase II for March 2027. The site will host Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs and will be powered exclusively by carbon‑free energy sources. The lease includes an eight‑year renewal option that could raise total contract value to about $8 billion over 24 years. The deal was announced in early August 2026.
