Blue Energy and GE Vernova announced a collaboration to develop a 2.5-GW gas-plus-nuclear power plant in the Port of Victoria, Texas, combining two GE Vernova 7HA.02 gas turbines (slot reservation for 2029 delivery) and up to five GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy BWRX-300 SMRs, with phased delivery of ~1 GW from gas by 2030 and ramp to ~1.5 GW nuclear by 2032.
