Bluepeak partners with Harmonic to accelerate fiber rollout and expand into MDUs

Type: Partnership · Technology: Telecom · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-07-21

Bluepeak announced on July 21, 2026 that it has entered a partnership with Harmonic to use Harmonic’s cOS virtualized core, Pearl R-OLTs and SeaStar optical node for faster fiber deployment. The agreement enables Bluepeak to extend fiber-grade multi‑gigabit connectivity to lower‑density MDUs by reusing existing in‑building coax infrastructure across its service area in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Harmonic’s SeaStar node provides a cost‑effective solution for brownfield MDU environments, while the cOS platform allows Bluepeak to introduce PON services at its own pace and consolidate network hubs. The deal supports Bluepeak’s goal of connecting more than 500,000 households and businesses with high‑performance broadband while avoiding costly over‑builds. No financial terms were disclosed, and the partnership is positioned as the primary focus of the press release.
