Type: Sale · Technology: Data Center · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-05-18

Brookfield acquired the 120,000 sq ft (11,150 sqm) data center facility at 255 Caspian Drive in Sunnyvale, California from DivcoWest for $90.3 million. The single-story building features 67,620 sq ft (6,280 sqm) of colocation space and offers 8MW of capacity, with Equinix operating the site as its SV4 facility since 2005. DivcoWest had purchased the property in 2021 for $50 million, while Equinix has expanded its Silicon Valley footprint with 12 data centers, including the recently launched SV12x facility in January 2026. The transaction marks Brookfield's entry into the data center real estate market in Sunnyvale, a key hub for technology infrastructure in the San Francisco Bay Area. The facility's long-term lease with Equinix provides stable occupancy, while the acquisition aligns with Brookfield's strategy to invest in high-demand digital infrastructure assets.
