Bull has been awarded a €31 million ($36 million) contract with the Spanish State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) to deliver supercomputing infrastructure, including hardware, software, and 24/7 monitoring services, for a four-year term. The system will be hosted across two sites in Madrid and is designed to provide a ten percent performance increase, enabling the optimization of existing applications and the deployment of new AI-based applications for weather forecasting and climate change analysis. The infrastructure forms part of Bull's BullSequana HPC systems, which support exascale-class systems, and follows the French state's acquisition of Bull in July 2025.
