Butagaz Eco-énergie acquires Lumélio to expand residential solar, heat pump, and battery storage solutions in France

Butagaz Eco-énergie, a subsidiary of the Butagaz group, completed the acquisition of Lumélio, a French company specializing in residential photovoltaic solar panels, heat pumps, and battery storage systems. The deal strengthens Butagaz's presence in the Hauts-de-France region, where Lumélio operates near Douai with a team of 20 employees and reported €4.3 million in revenue in 2025. Aurélien Barbé, Director General of Butagaz's Liquefied Gas division, highlighted Lumélio's strong customer relationships built on field proximity, education, and quality support as key reasons for the acquisition. This transaction follows Butagaz's broader strategy to diversify into renewable energy solutions for households, initiated in 2017. Butagaz has previously acquired several solar energy companies, including Soltéa and Solewa in 2021, Sys EnR in 2022, SLER and O’SiToiT in 2023, and Acteam Enr in 2024, to expand its solar and renewable energy portfolio.
