Onshore wind developer Bute Energy secured a £160 million project finance agreement with Lloyds and Rabobank to construct the 93.8 MW Twyn Hywel Energy Park in Caerphilly, South Wales. Construction has already begun on site, marking Bute Energy's first project entering construction phase. The wind park is the first of 12 planned onshore wind projects across Wales, with a combined capacity exceeding 2 GW. Once operational, Twyn Hywel will contribute 25% of the Welsh Government's target to meet 100% of electricity demand from renewables by 2035 and 18% of the UK Government's Clean Power 2030 mission.
