Canada's CPP Investments forms joint venture with Indian data center firm CtrlS

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) announced a joint venture with CtrlS Data Centers, India's largest hyperscale data center provider, to expand data center infrastructure in India. The partnership aims to address India's rapidly growing digital economy and surging demand for data storage and cloud services. CtrlS operates 12 data centers across India with a combined capacity of over 1 GW, serving major hyperscalers and enterprises. CPP Investments, one of the world's largest pension funds with CAD 630 billion in assets under management, will provide capital and strategic support to accelerate CtrlS's expansion plans. The joint venture will focus on developing hyperscale data centers in key Indian markets including Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed in the announcement.
