Epsilon Gemini Srl, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, has secured a positive environmental impact assessment for its 52.8 MW agro-photovoltaic project, "FV_Monreale 2," to be built in Monreale, Italy. This approval contributes to the material volume of solar projects receiving positive environmental reviews in Italy. Since August 1, 2026, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (Mase) has issued fifteen positive assessments totaling 705.55 MW for agrivoltaic projects. In July 2026, Mase also granted favorable opinions for 1 GW of solar capacity.
