Casa dos Ventos and Aegea sign corporate PPA for 13.89 MW average solar autoproduction from Complexo Solar Seriemas

Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: Brazil · Capacity: 400 MW · Announced: 2026-08-13

Casa dos Ventos and Aegea executed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) under the self-production model via lease consortium, securing 13.89 MW average of renewable energy from the 400 MW Complexo Solar Seriemas in Mato Grosso do Sul. The energy will supply Aegea’s Águas do Pará and Águas do Piauí operations starting in 2027, covering approximately 80% of Pará’s demand and 60% of Piauí’s demand currently sourced in Brazil’s free energy market. The deal advances Aegea’s strategy to increase renewable energy share in its consumption while improving energy cost predictability, as 99% of the company’s electricity is already from renewable sources. For Casa dos Ventos, the agreement reinforces its push to offer customized self-production structures for large corporate consumers seeking to align energy contracts with emissions reduction targets. Rene Abrantes, Casa dos Ventos’ commercial director, highlighted that autoproduction enables companies to balance competitiveness, operational efficiency, and decarbonization.
