Cero Generation refinances 190 MW Larks Green solar‑BESS hybrid with NORD/LB and consortium financing

Type: Financing · Technology: Hybrid · Country: United Kingdom · Capacity: 190 MW · Announced: 2026-07-23

NORD/LB together with a consortium of Santander, Rabobank and ING provided a refinancing package for Cero Generation’s 190 MW Larks Green solar‑and‑battery energy storage cluster in South Gloucestershire. The package refinances the operational 70 MW Larks Green solar farm and the 50 MW BESS site while funding the construction of the 70 MW Lower Larks BESS project slated to start operation in 2027. The Larks Green cluster combines solar generation and battery storage to deliver renewable power and grid‑balancing services across the UK grid. The financing expands the portfolio facility first established in July 2025, underscoring NORD/LB’s commitment to accelerate the renewable transition in the UK and Europe. The deal was announced on 23 July 2026, with NORD/LB’s deputy head of energy origination, Jorn Leeuwendal, and Cero Generation’s director, Andrew Alkiviades, commenting on the milestone.
