China Electric Power, Toda Construction invest in MOL-backed Masuda-Hikimi Wind Power Project in Japan

China Electric Power Co., Inc. and Toda Corporation acquired minority stakes in Asia Wind Power Co., Ltd., the special purpose company developing the Masuda-Hikimi Wind Power Project in Shimane Prefecture, Japan. The 54 MW onshore wind farm, consisting of 13 turbines with 4,200 kW capacity each, will be constructed in Hikimi-cho, Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture. Scheduled for commercial operation in January 2030, the project is being developed by Asia Wind Power Co., Ltd., a joint venture established in 2019 by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and Hokutaku Co., Ltd. The investment by China Electric Power and Toda Corporation strengthens the project's financial backing and accelerates construction activities. The project aligns with Japan's decarbonization goals and will contribute to the local community's energy transition.
