Chrysalis Renewables acquires Atlas V and Atlas VI solar projects in the U.S. through partnership with Hanwha Renewables
Type: Acquisition · Technology: Solar · Country: United States · Capacity: 357 MW · Announced: 2026-06-17
Chrysalis Renewables, a renewables investment platform backed by global infrastructure manager Morrison, acquired the Atlas V and Atlas VI solar projects in La Paz, Arizona, through a strategic partnership with Hanwha Renewables. The transaction, announced in February 2026, marks the first deployment under a repeatable M&A framework designed to accelerate high-quality renewable energy projects in North America. The combined 357 MWdc projects are in the final commissioning stages and form the initial phases of the multi-phase Atlas Energy Park, one of the largest renewable energy developments in the U.S. Both projects are contracted under 15-year busbar power-purchase agreements with Southern California Edison, supplying clean energy to the California ISO market. Qcells, a subsidiary of Hanwha Group, supplied domestically produced solar modules from its Georgia manufacturing facility and acted as the fully integrated EPC partner for the projects.
