Climeon supplies HeatPower 300 Organic Rankine Cycle systems to NEO GROUP for waste heat recovery at PET resin production facility
Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Industrial · Country: Lithuania · Announced: 2026-06-09
Climeon delivered its HeatPower 300 Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems to NEO GROUP’s polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin production facility near the Port of Klaipeda, Lithuania, enabling the recovery of industrial waste heat into on-site electricity. The systems have operated for over two years with approximately 99% availability, generating 2.7 GWh of electricity annually from excess heat that would otherwise be lost through cooling systems. NEO GROUP, one of Europe’s largest PET granule manufacturers, uses the recovered electricity to reduce purchased power demand and support decarbonization goals. Kęstutis Narmontas, Research & Technology Manager at NEO GROUP, highlighted the project’s role in improving energy efficiency without adding operational complexity. Lena Sundquist, CEO of Climeon, emphasized the long-term performance and business benefits demonstrated by this reference installation for industrial waste heat recovery.
