Cofides, through its Fondo de Coinversión, has pledged an investment of €150 million to support Hydnum Steel’s industrial complex in Puertollano. The project will produce 2.7 million tonnes of flat steel powered by renewable electricity and green hydrogen generated on‑site. By replacing traditional blast‑furnace processes, the plant aims to cut CO₂ emissions by up to 98 %.
