Colbún and Gtd sign renewable energy supply agreement for critical telecommunications facilities in Chile

Gtd, a Chilean telecommunications and technology services company, and energy company Colbún announced a renewable energy supply agreement to power three critical Gtd facilities in Chile. The contract covers Gtd's installations in Huechuraba (Metropolitan region), Valdivia (Los Ríos region), and the Huérfanos data center in central Santiago. The committed supply totals an annual consumption of 2.96 GWh, with energy certified by I-REC to guarantee its renewable origin. This agreement reinforces Gtd's sustainable growth strategy and ensures a reliable and renewable energy supply for its digital infrastructure. Colbún's executive director, José Ignacio Escobar, highlighted the agreement as a demonstration of combining renewable generation with reliable service to support the growth of digital infrastructure in Chile.
