Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners announced it has acquired the onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage business from Orsted. The transaction transfers a portfolio of onshore wind farms and associated solar and storage assets located primarily in Europe. The acquired assets will be integrated into CIP’s existing onshore wind platform and will expand its renewable capacity. The deal strengthens CIP’s position in the European onshore wind market while allowing Orsted to focus on offshore wind development. The acquisition was disclosed on 31 July 2026 and no financial terms were disclosed. No advisors or legal counsel were named in the announcement.
