Type: Acquisition · Technology: Solar · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-06-16
Tennessee-based solar equipment provider Create Energy completed the acquisition of SOL Components, a structural balance-of-system (sBOS) provider, from Kloeckner Metals for an undisclosed sum. SOL Components' portfolio included ground-mounted fixed-tilt solar racking systems as well as 1P and 2P single-axis trackers, which will be integrated into Create Energy’s ONTRACK suite of solutions. The acquisition aligns with Create Energy’s strategy to build a unified power plant platform that simplifies project design, procurement, and deployment while reducing labor costs and improving system reliability through pre-wired and integrated components. Create Energy also announced a $78 million expansion of its operations in March 2026, including upgrades to its Portland, Tennessee headquarters and the acquisition of a 338,000 square-foot manufacturing hub. CEO Dean Solon emphasized the company’s aggressive M&A strategy, stating that more transactions are expected in the near future to expand its renewable energy hardware offerings.
