Cyta acquires RedMax data center in Cyprus

Cyta has signed an agreement to acquire the RedMax data center in the Latsia Industrial Area of Cyprus. The RedMax facility, known as RedOne, includes 1,300 sqm of white space, up to 420 racks, and is powered by a 2 MW on‑premise substation with a 640 kWp solar PV system and battery storage. Cyta plans to expand the site, with the first phase of the new infrastructure slated to go live in early 2027, making it the largest privately owned data centre in Cyprus upon completion. The acquisition strengthens Cyta’s portfolio of digital infrastructure, complementing its existing fiber optic network, island‑wide 5G rollout, and ownership of subsea cables and landing stations. No financial terms were disclosed, and the deal was announced in July 2026.
