De Nora received an initial tranche of orders from the Thyssenkrupp nucera joint venture to supply electrolytic cells for alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) for the Moeve project in Andalusia, Spain. The scope covers high-performance anodic and cathodic coating for a total capacity of 300 MW, representing the largest green hydrogen project in Southern Europe. The potential value of the complete order ranges between €30 million and €40 million, with De Nora delivering specialized components for the project's core electrolysis infrastructure. Thyssenkrupp nucera, a joint venture between Thyssenkrupp and Industrie De Nora, is developing the Moeve project as a flagship initiative in Spain's decarbonization efforts. The electrolyzer cells will enable large-scale renewable hydrogen production, supporting industrial applications and energy storage solutions in the region.
