Type: Acquisition · Technology: Data Center · Country: India · Capacity: 270 MW · Value: $104M · Announced: 2026-07-06

Digital Edge, a data center firm owned by New York-based private equity firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, acquired a 30-acre parcel in the proposed Green Integrated Data Centre Park near Palava, India, for approximately Rs10 billion ($104 million). The transaction was confirmed by Lodha, the developer behind the data center park, in a press release on July 6, 2026. Digital Edge plans to develop a 270MW data center on the site, located 45km northeast of Mumbai. This acquisition follows Digital Edge's groundbreaking in 2024 for a 300MW data center campus in Navi Mumbai and its February 2026 signing of an 83MW solar power purchase agreement with Hexa to power the first phase of its 350MW BOM campus. The deal underscores Digital Edge's expansion strategy in India's rapidly growing data center market, where it now operates or constructs over a dozen facilities across the APAC region.
