Digital Realty announced it will develop a new cable landing station (CLS) at its LAX12 data center campus located at 2260 East El Segundo Boulevard in El Segundo, Los Angeles. The CLS development will be delivered in partnership with Assured Communications, which will support the design, engineering and construction of the subsea landing infrastructure. The project will integrate subsea cable landing capabilities with Digital Realty’s existing interconnection and data center platform across its Los Angeles campus and is planned to begin supporting cables in 2028. The LAX12 facility is a two-story, 129,000 sq ft site with roughly 7MW of capacity, originally developed in 2005 and acquired by Digital Realty in 2010; Digital Realty also operates nearby LAX11 and recently bought a 5.4-acre site at 4400 Pacific Blvd in Vernon for future development.
