Diverxia, a subsidiary of Grupo Alonso, closed a €43 million long-term financing package to develop the 85 MWp Villanueva de Gállego solar complex in Zaragoza, Spain. The project consists of two 42.5 MWdc plants with dedicated evacuation infrastructure connected to the 220 kV Villanueva de Gállego substation. Construction began in January 2026, with commercial operation expected in the second half of 2027. A second phase, currently under permitting, will explore hybridization of the plants. The financing combines Caixabank's long-term debt with corporate funding, ensuring stable capital for one of Spain's largest upcoming solar projects.
