Doral LLC partnered with 65 local farming families to launch the Mammoth Solar plant across 13,000 acres in Starke and Pulaski counties, Indiana. The project's first phase, Mammoth North Solar, utilizes 4,500 acres to generate 400 MW of clean electricity, sufficient to power 75,000 homes annually. Beyond electricity production, the farming families continue to cultivate traditional crops such as hay, wheat, soybeans, and corn underneath the solar panels. Resource Environmental Solutions LLC is responsible for managing the land, implementing a Vegetation and Soil Management Plan that includes planting native tallgrass and pollinator species. Bope Farm Services manages a diverse working herd of over 2,000 animals, including sheep, Kunekune pigs, donkeys, alpacas, and livestock guardian dogs, which help maintain vegetation and prevent panel shading.
