E Energy Invest acquires 49.9% stake in Enfinity's 150 MW BESS project

E Energy Invest, a company backed by the Strioga Family Foundation, has acquired a 49.9% stake in a 150 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in the province of Livorno, Italy, from Enfinity Global. The project has a capacity of 150 MW and a total energy storage capacity of 600 MWh. Enfinity Global will retain a 50.1% stake in the project and will be responsible for its development and long-term management. This acquisition marks the fourth investment by the Strioga Family Foundation in battery storage systems, with total commitments exceeding 2.5 GWh in Europe. The deal is part of Enfinity's strategy to attract leading investors to its Italian platform, having previously signed agreements with the Azerbaijan sovereign fund and other investors for a total capacity of over 1.1 GW. The project is expected to contribute to Italy's renewable energy goals and will provide a material boost to the country's energy storage capacity.
