Econergy, a European renewable-energy independent power producer, acquired Escofi, a French private wind platform, for €134.3 million ($155 million) to expand its European wind presence. Escofi operates a 740-megawatt portfolio across four development stages, including 128 MW in commercial operation and 34 MW under construction, with projects located in the Hauts-de-France and Grand Est regions. The portfolio benefits from 20-year contracted revenues under France's contracts for difference (CfD) regime, and Econergy plans to repower existing assets. The deal establishes Econergy's presence in France and strengthens its European platform, which now spans eight markets with a development pipeline exceeding 13 GW.
