EDECSA and Grupo Agrisal partner to develop El Icacal Green Power solar plant

Grupo Energía, Desarrollo y Consultoría (EDECSA) and Grupo Agrisal partnered to develop the 9.9 MW El Icacal Green Power photovoltaic plant in El Salvador. The project, located in the department of La Unión, represents an investment of approximately $11.5 million. The plant is equipped with 19,200 photovoltaic modules and is expected to produce 24,513 MWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of over 15,000 Salvadoran homes. The partnership was initially reported in July 2023, with commercial operation starting in July 2026. This project expands Agrisal's activity in the photovoltaic sector, adding to its existing rooftop installation at Plaza Mundo Soyapango.
