EDF Power Solutions North America Signs 30-Year PPA for Utah 1 Solar Project with SCPPA

EDF Power Solutions North America has signed a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) for the 300 MWac Utah Solar 1 Energy project. This agreement will provide renewable electricity to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), a member of SCPPA. The solar project is being developed on state-owned land in Millard County, Utah, and is anticipated to commence electricity delivery in mid-2027. The Utah Solar 1 project is projected to generate approximately 766,000 MWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power around 126,800 average California homes each year. This PPA supports SCPPA's decarbonization commitment and LADWP's clean energy goals, strengthening power reliability and affordability for their customers.
